Veterans Day Spotlight: Annalise Delatorre-Alvarez

by ELLIMAN INSIDER TEAM

November 2025

In celebration of Veterans Day, we invited members of the Douglas Elliman community who have served in the armed forces to reflect on how their service experiences have shaped their lives and careers in the real estate business.

Annalise Delatorre-Alvarez, Agent, Miami, Fla.

Please briefly describe your military service.

I was in the Air Medical Space and worked on the medical aspect of the military, traveled to Italy and Germany. I started as an Aerotech and provided medical care in both home and deployed settings. I ensured Airmen and their families remained medically ready through patient care, administration, and training.

In what ways, if any, has your service experience shaped the way you approach your life and career in real estate?

My military service shaped the foundation of how I operate in real estate. It taught me discipline, agility, and adaptability skills. Environments change quickly, and you must be able to assess, adjust, and execute without hesitation. That same mindset allows me to navigate complex transactions, unexpected challenges, and high-pressure negotiations with calmness and clarity. In real estate, reliability and execution are everything. Clients trust me with some of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. Because of my service background, I don't just make commitments: I deliver them and take pride in being someone people trust.

What would you like your colleagues to know or understand about your service experience and what it means to you?

My service experience means a great deal to me because it shaped not just how I work but who I am. It taught me discipline, integrity, reliability, and the importance of follow through, which are values that I carry into every aspect of my personal life and career.
