Elliman Gives Back 2024: Food Banks, Animal Shelters and the 12th Annual Ride for Love
by ELLIMAN INSIDER TEAM
September 2024
On September 13th, 14th and 15th, Douglas Elliman agents, executives, managers and staff from across the country contributed their time, energy and pedal power for Elliman Gives Back, the brokerage’s annual weekend of service.
Whether preparing and packing food and supplies for people in need, organizing donations for a local animal shelter or cycling to raise funds for God’s Love We Deliver, Elliman showed up and gave back to the communities where we live and work.
Here’s how!
The Hamptons

On Saturday, September 14th, Elliman agents, executives and staff took to their bikes for the 12th Annual Ride for Love in support of God’s Love We Deliver. Participants took part in a group ride through Long Island and the Hamptons, finishing in Montauk, and raised over $102,000, equaling 10,000 nutritious, medically tailored meals for those living with illness and unable to cook for themselves.
Westchester

The Mount Kisco Food Pantry promotes the health and well-being of our northern Westchester community by providing weekly nutritious food and complementary education and services to those in need.
California
In California, Elliman agents and staff served with Project Angel Food to help prepare more than 3,000 nutritious, medically tailored meals for people living with life-threatening illnesses.

The Santa Barbara contingent volunteered with Adam’s Angels, a nonprofit founded by Elliman agents Adam McKaig and Melissa Borders. Every week, they assemble bags of non-perishable food items to serve more than 500 guests experiencing hardship within the community, along with hundreds of Kits4Kids containing personal hygiene items to low-income students in the Santa Barbara Unified School District.

The team in Orange County volunteered at OC Animal Care to support the needs of shelter animals. In addition to hands-on volunteering, the team organized a donation drive for essential pet supplies, including toys, blankets, leashes and unopened pet food. Donations can be dropped off at Elliman’s Newport Beach office until September 23.
Colorado

The team in Aspen supported the Aspen Animal Shelter by organizing donations for the nonprofit and spearheading a cleaning and organizing project for the pet supply exchange room, a self-serve area where locals can donate or take pet items they don’t need or want. The team also spent quality time at the shelter, showering the animals with love, playing with them and generally bringing joy to the shelter’s furry residents.
Connecticut

Employees from Elliman’s Greenwich office showed up at Neighbor to Neighbor, which seeks to improve the lives of residents in need throughout the Greenwich area and strengthens the community by creating access to food, clothing and basic living essentials in an atmosphere of kindness and respect.
Florida

The team from the Fort Lauderdale office packaged food for The Poverello Eat Well Center, which provides nutritious food with understanding, respect and love for individuals living with critical and chronic illnesses.
Nevada

In Las Vegas, Elliman served at Three Square Food Bank to help package produce and grocery items and prepare materials to distribute wholesome food to the hundreds of thousands of Southern Nevadans who struggle with hunger.
Texas
In Austin, Elliman agents collected food for the Central Texas Food Bank, which serves nearly 437,000 people in 21 counties.
Meanwhile, the Dallas team volunteered with Meals on Wheels, an organization dedicated to addressing senior hunger and isolation. Elliman agents delivered 108 meals to those in need around Dallas.
Elliman’s Houston agents volunteered at the Houston Food Bank, where they helped sort and package donated food items at the warehouse for community distribution.
