Veterans Day Spotlight: Amanda Lovell

by ELLIMAN INSIDER TEAM

November 2025

In celebration of Veterans Day, we invited members of the Douglas Elliman community who have served in the armed forces to reflect on how their service experiences have shaped their lives and careers in the real estate business.

Amanda Lovell, Agent, Sarasota, Fla.

Please briefly describe your military service.

I served in the Marine Corps from 2005 to 2009, working for the air wing headquarters squadron at Cherry Point, NC. In 2007, I deployed to Iraq, where I supported aerial reconnaissance missions.

In what ways, if any, has your service experience shaped the way you approach your life and career in real estate?

The Marine Corps instilled a mission-focused mindset that has guided me throughout my career—from military and federal civil service to community involvement. I approach real estate with that same commitment: every client has a goal, and it becomes my mission to help them achieve it with discipline and integrity.

What would you like your colleagues to know or understand about your service experience and what it means to you?

My service broadened my understanding of how differently people live and experience the world. That perspective is the foundation of how I interact with others—with respect, empathy, and a deep appreciation for each individual's journey.
