Weekend Warehouse Sale to Celebrate Southampton Quilting Legend Judi Boisson

On Saturday, June 21, in Southampton, NY, the artistry and legacy of Judi Boisson will be on display with a “massive warehouse sale” of timeless quilts, rugs, and pillows from her American Home Collection. Located at 1 Leecon Court, the event will be held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

For Douglas Elliman agent Erin Boisson Aries, it’s a tribute both to the work of a celebrated artist and entrepreneur and the life of her mother, who passed away in 2023.

“She truly was an artist, and this was her passion,” Boisson Aries said. “And she had the most wonderfully loyal following of people who just worshiped her designs and her talent.”

A trained artist who worked in the fashion industry, Judi Boisson had been a passionate collector and purveyor of antique Amish quilts. After opening a shop in Southampton to quilts, linens and folk art, the growing scarcity of those original articles inspired her to launch her own collection in 1991.

“She spent six years training seamstresses to hand stitch the various styles, created her own designs, and dyed all her own fabrics,” Boisson Aries recalled. “Everything was manufactured with the highest quality.”

After her mother’s passing, Boisson Aries and her own daughter, who works in equity research, took on the management of the business. Now, the two are “slowly winding it down.”

“It’s certainly bittersweet,” she said. “But I will say it’s given me so much joy to help place these in the homes of people who love them.”
