Veterans Day Spotlight: Jacklyn Riley

by ELLIMAN INSIDER TEAM

November 2025

In celebration of Veterans Day, we invited members of the Douglas Elliman community who have served in the armed forces to reflect on how their service experiences have shaped their lives and careers in the real estate business.

Jacklyn Riley, Agent, Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.

Please briefly describe your military service.

As a former U.S. Army Medical Service Officer, I had the privilege of serving for six years, leading teams and supporting missions focused on care, precision, and accountability. That experience taught me the importance of discipline, adaptability, and clear communication — values that now guide my work in real estate every day.

The leadership skills I gained in the military allow me to serve my clients with integrity, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to their goals. I take great pride in continuing to serve my fellow military members and veterans, helping them navigate one of life’s biggest decisions with the same dedication and professionalism that defined my time in uniform.

In what ways, if any, has your service experience shaped the way you approach your life and career in real estate?

I would say that the leadership skills I gained in the military allow me to serve my clients even better now. When I bought my first home, I used the Veterans Administration loan, so I am able to help clients with that process, as well.
