Top-Ranked Luxury Broker Maureen Stapleton Joins Douglas Elliman in Aspen

Douglas Elliman Realty, LLC, today announced that renowned Aspen luxury real estate advisor Maureen Stapleton has joined the firm. A respected industry veteran with more than three decades of experience, Stapleton will be based in Douglas Elliman’s Aspen office and will continue serving clients throughout Aspen, Snowmass, Snowmass Village, Aspen Highlands and the greater Roaring Fork Valley. 

Stapleton is widely recognized as one of Colorado’s leading luxury real estate professionals. According to RealTrends’ 2026 rankings, she achieved $99.25 million in 2025 sales volume across eight sides and ranked No. 19 in Colorado by sales volume. Throughout her distinguished career, she has represented some of the region’s most significant luxury properties, including transactions at $53 million, $48 million and $37.5 million, and is known for her discretion, market expertise and deep-rooted relationships within the Aspen community. Stapleton has represented some of Aspen’s most expensive off-market deals, including the second highest residential sale in Pitkin County which recently closed for $91.3 million.  

Her arrival further enhances Douglas Elliman’s growing presence in Colorado, where the firm continues to set benchmarks in the luxury market, including achieving the highest average sale price in Aspen.

Stapleton began her real estate career in Florida, where she focused on commercial property, before relocating to Aspen in 1991. Over the following decades, she established herself as a market leader, developing an unparalleled understanding of the region’s luxury residential landscape. Her intimate knowledge of Aspen and Snowmass, combined with her ability to discreetly identify and secure properties tailored to her clients’ needs, has earned her the trust of buyers and sellers from around the world. 

In addition to her sales achievements, Stapleton has played a significant leadership role within the local real estate community. She previously served as President of the Aspen Board of Realtors and was honored as Realtor of the Year by the organization.
