Top Houston Agent Dana Johnson Joins Douglas Elliman

Douglas Elliman announced today that Dana Johnson, a Houston-based luxury real estate agent with $400 million in career sales—including $100 million in closed sales in 2025—has joined the brokerage after six years at Compass. With over a decade in the business, Johnson is well-known in Houston’s Memorial area for her work across luxury residential, new construction, and investment properties.

According to The Real Deal, which first reported the move, Johnson cited her former brokerage's growth as a reason for her decision to join Elliman.

“Sometimes bigger isn’t always better," she told the publication. "I feel like at Douglas Elliman, the brand itself is a luxury brand, and that’s what I sell."

A native Texan and longtime Houston resident, Johnson has built a relationship-driven business grounded in deep community ties and repeat referrals. She brings a unique perspective to the market through hands-on experience with renovations, working closely alongside her husband in construction and development. That background has shaped her ability to identify value and guide clients through both lifestyle and investment driven decisions.
