Douglas Elliman Realty announced today that Sabine Otamendi, one of South Florida’s leading luxury real estate agents, has returned to the brokerage in Miami. A 27-year veteran who previously worked with the firm between 2016 and 2019, Otamendi brings an extensive background in luxury new developments, a record of more than $2 billion in pre-development sales and an international clientele that aligns with Elliman’s recent expansions into global markets.
“Douglas Elliman is the most sophisticated platform for both my clients and the level at which I operate,” she said. “I strongly identify with the firm’s philosophy, standard of excellence and overall positioning in the ultra-luxury space.”
Otamendi is widely recognized as one of the industry’s most strategic minds in pre-development sales and high-end market positioning. Over the course of her career, she has led the launch, sales direction and successful sellout of some of Miami’s most transformative projects, including such landmark developments as The St. Regis Bal Harbour, One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid and, most recently, Turnberry Ocean Club, where she contributed to achieving record-setting prices in Sunny Isles Beach.
During her prior tenure at Douglas Elliman, Otamendi worked on development projects including One River Point and 2000 Ocean. She characterized her return to the brokerage as a strategic decision will enable her to leverage Elliman’s growing international reach.
“Its exceptional portfolio of ultra-luxury developments and strategic global expansion, particularly into Monaco and Europe naturally complements my international background and clientele,” Otamendi said. “This move is intentional. It positions me to perform at the highest level, expand my reach, and continue delivering a highly curated, results-driven experience within one of the industry’s premier luxury platforms.”
Raised and educated in Paris, Otamendi graduated from the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris (CCIP), earning a bachelor’s degree in Sales Psychology and Business Administration. After attending Northeastern University’s international business program, she relocated to Miami at the outset of the city’s transformation into a global hub for luxury real estate.
Based out of Elliman’s office at 5555 Biscayne Blvd, Otamendi can be reached at Sabine.Otamendi@elliman.com and (786) 399-6316.
