Agent Spotlight: Orange County’s Kristin Halton Celebrates the Everyday Wins

As the founder and leader of The Halton Group, she has built a reputation for impeccable service, deep local expertise and dedication to the community of Newport Beach, Calif., where she has lived for more than two decades. Through its philanthropic program, The Halton Heart, the team donates a portion of the proceeds from each home sale to one of seven local charities chosen by the members. Halton spoke recently with Elliman Insider about what brought her to real estate and how each day makes for a career highlight. Kristin Halton Tell me a little bit about your background. I was born and raised in Seattle, Wash., enjoying the outdoor lifestyle, from hiking and traveling to riding my Harley Davidson. But my passion has always been real estate. You could say that I was born with it in my blood, and I eventually moved to Newport Beach, over 22 years ago, to pursue a career in the industry. In addition, my life in Newport Beach has brought me a beautiful family including my husband, two daughters, a son and two pups. I am a lover of life and continually pursue ways to learn, grow and expand my world. What brought you to real estate and how did you get your start? Since I can remember, I have been passionate about people and property and love to help people live out their dreams through home ownership. A home is where love is, where memories are made, where families come together, and helping clients live their best lives in a home they love is one of the great joys of my life. I also enjoy helping clients earn money through investing in real estate, creating passive income for their futures and the ability to leave a legacy for their family—essentially enabling them to have freedom and choices, living the American dream. If you had to pick just one thing, what would you say has been the highlight of your real estate career? There isn’t just one thing—it’s the small wins that happen every day that are the highlights of my career. Every time I get my client what they want or win a negotiation, walking my clients through the entire experience, exceeding their expectations, getting the job done—all of these experiences fuel and inspire me every single day to do better and to be better.
