When she was three, Jayne Chase and her family started traveling to Palm Beach from her hometown of Pittsburgh every year. She continued the tradition with her own kids, staying at the Breakers for 20 years. Two years ago, Chase and her husband decided to make Palm Beach their home base. “It was like coming home,” says Chase, editor in chief of Modern Luxury Palm Beach. “Everywhere I turn, I remember having lunch with my mother. It has a sentimental historical component for me.” —By Drew Limsky
Royal Society
“I’m a devotee of The Royal Poinciana Plaza. I used to have ice cream there when I was little. The Royal has been completely renovated. It has everything from Hermès to Saint Laurent to Theory to Squeeze Pilates to Celis Produce. It’s a wonderful shopping destination with lots of really great restaurants. And they’re reaching out to the entire Palm Beach community. They have Lululemon Sunset Yoga, Backgammon + Bubbles on Sunday afternoons, live music, and special programs for kids.” (340 Royal Poinciana Way, 561.440.5441)

“There are superb places to eat at The Royal. The Honor Bar (561.209.2799) takes no reservations, but it has delicious bar food. Palm Beach Grill (561.835.1077) is another favorite; we’ve been going for 20 years. Sant Ambroeus (561.285.7990) is an ideal spot to sit outside for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything they do is perfect and fresh, but I always end up getting the seared salmon, and salad with buffalo mozzarella and green Spanish Castelvetrano olives—the Insalata Centocolori.” (All restaurants: 340 Royal Poinciana Way)
Garden Party
“The Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens are just off of the Intracoastal, in a residential area in West Palm Beach. You wouldn’t even know the gardens are there. But then you walk through the entryway and it’s magical. There’s a beautiful café and nine monumental sculptures that Ann Norton created. You feel like you’ve been transported to South America.” (253 Barcelona Rd., West Palm Beach, 561.832.5328)

Tory Burch has a concept store on Worth Avenue with a little bit of everything from the line. I’ve known Tory for a long time, and I’m a huge fan. I wear the brand all the time. She has a really great way of making you feel like you’re put together without feeling overly dressed. She just hits the right balance between classic and fashion-forward.” (255 Worth Ave., 561.366.9629)
