At $72.5 Million, this Mansion’s Sale in Aspen Sets a New Record

A mansion overlooking downtown Aspen has sold for $72.5 million, setting a new price record for a single-family home in the famed Colorado ski town according to The Wall Street Journal. The new owner of the roughly 22,000-square-foot, 11-bedroom compound was represented by Douglas Elliman’s Riley Warwick . The seller was represented by Elliman’s Joshua Saslove . Tal and Oren Alexander , also of Douglas Elliman, referred the buyer to Warwick. The deal follows the sale last year of a $57.25 million home in nearby Vail, Colo., which also set a record for that area. Designed by Charles Cunniffe Architects and built by Hansen Construction, the home is comprised of a main house and guest house totaling 11 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, set atop a 4.5-acre lot with sweeping views.
