Aran Scott’s passion for and experience in real estate goes back to his college years. He paid for the majority of his studies doing rentals in the summer, and after graduation, went full-time into the business in 2006. Aran worked in residential sales at Sotheby’s International Realty and Urban Sanctuary, until co-founding his own boutique brokerage with a longtime friend and business partner.
In 2011, Aran and Edward Cho opened Space Marketing Shop, a residential real estate company with offices in Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island City. The partners grew the firm to over 30 agents and $500+ million in sales. In 2018, SMS was acquired by Douglas Elliman, New York’s #1 residential brokerage. At the 190 5th Avenue office in Park Slope, Aran and his partner Anthony Robles head up The Scott/Robles Team. In the past two years, the team closed more than $205 million in total sales volume, including townhouse/multifamily, condo and co-op properties.
“Work harder than everybody else and success is sure to follow” has always been Aran’s philosophy. This drive, along with seasoned skill, have led him to great accomplishments in his field, and to continually satisfy the needs of his loyal clients.
A tenacious work ethic is complemented by hyper local expertise set him apart. Because Aran is so zoned into the Brooklyn market, he is able to find clients the best on and off-market opportunities available. His specialty areas in Brooklyn include Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill and surrounding neighborhoods. Aran handles every aspect of a transaction from start to finish, whether helping owners prepare their homes for sale with staging and improvements, or guiding buyers through their search with value and efficiency top of mind.
A native New Yorker, Aran holds Bachelor degrees in Finance and Marketing, and is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
