Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Vily graduated from Pierce College and Deree College (the American College of Greece) with a BA in Sociology and Dance. She previously worked as a Public Relations representative at the Intercontinental Hotel in Athens, as an elementary school teacher and as an insurance agent for AIG in her native Greece. When she moved to NY, Vily worked as a public relations executive on Wall Street. Vily enjoys to read and travel and was a member of the Greek National Horse Back Riding Team before moving to New York.

Vily is a member of several charitable organizations in NY. She is a member of the board of directors of the Greek Archdiocesan Cathedral Philoptochos Society which supports organizations such as St. Basil Academy which provides shelter and education to orphan children, St. Michael's Home for the Aged, provides food to the homeless once a week, supports individuals and families in crisis and many more.

Savvy of all Manhattan neighborhoods, Vily and her husband are raising their two children on the Upper East Side where they currently reside.
