Quaint and wooded, East Norwich is off the beaten path in eastern Nassau County. Only a square mile in size, East Norwich has residential streets with expanded ranches, colonials and split-levels, as well as a commercial area centered around the intersection of Northern Blvd. and Oyster Bay Road. Rothmann's Steakhouse, circa 1907, in a sprawling white-turreted house, is perhaps East Norwich's best known landmark. The hamlet is also home to the private Pine Hollow Country Club, with golf, tennis, a pool and dining, and gourmet market Christina's Epicure. Additional shops and restaurants, along with beaches and marinas, are a couple of miles north in Oyster Bay.
