About Keiko
Keiko Gilbert brings decades of experience working in hospitality and customer service. Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Keiko grew up in Chigasaki where her love for seaside communities originated. Keiko began her career working as a luxury travel attendant where she built a foundation for responding to a wide variety of guests needs to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for VIP patrons. Her experience led her to then work for the tech super company, Sony, and also a Japanese recording company where she managed a famous singer’s fan club. Always being one who loves to travel, in the early 90s Keiko made her courageous journey to Canada to work as a travel guide at one of the world’s wonders, Niagara Falls. Her curiosity to explore the world then brought her to the United States where Keiko continued to learn more about different languages and cultures while still holding closely to her roots. Her customer-oriented service continued as she used her bilingual skills to lead and manage a retail store for eight years and then move on to become an administrative assistant and personal assistant for the CEO of a leading Japanese manufacturer in Manhattan. Her overall love for guiding and helping people ultimately led her to pursue a career in real estate.
She is enthusiastic about giving her clients the best experience possible.
As a real estate agent, Keiko is always looking for new opportunities to learn, share her love for Long Island, and meet new people to learn about their life journeys and perspectives.
A 25 year resident of Nassau County, Keiko is committed to helping her clients find the perfect home on this diverse Island. Keiko brings sweetness, positive energy, a tough work-ethic, and a drive to always ensure that you are satisfied. By utilizing all of the skills and knowledge she has gathered over the years, Keiko works hard to achieve her clients’ goals. Being bilingual in Japanese and English, Keiko especially enjoys the opportunity to work with international clients.
A mother of three young women, Keiko understands and appreciates the desire to put family first. Always ready to roll with the punches, Keiko knows the importance of adapting to situations, staying organized, and has the patience to work with her clients as they navigate making some of the most challenging, exciting, and life-changing decisions of their lives. When Keiko is not working, she loves tapping into her creative side: painting with watercolors, gardening, and cooking delicious meals and treats. Keiko greatly enjoys travelling, with a particular fondness for Hawaii where she always longs to get back on a Stand-Up Paddleboard and look for sightings of wild sea turtles.
