About Nancy

Nancy Carolyn Clapp is no stranger to discipline and dedication, two qualities that have led to her client-centered work ethic. From her days as a professional ballerina—-attending the North Carolina School of the Arts, the American Ballet Theatre and touring with a ballet company from a young age—-to starting her own successful boutique Pilates studio in Manhattan’s East
Village, Nancy brings her discipline, dedication and client focus to her real estate career.

Nancy serves clients in two of the country’s most exciting real estate markets, the Hamptons and New York City, as an agent out of Douglas Elliman’s Bridgehampton office, and a member of The Courtright Team based in New York City. Nancy is thrilled to utilize Douglas Elliman's global presence, as well as its outstanding network to connect buyers and sellers from around the world with the right properties. Nancy’s clients recognize and value her ability to keep her finger on the pulse of both the New York City and Hamptons markets. Her intuitive ability to identify the needs and desires of her clients quickly builds their trust. As an open communicator who enjoys the aspects of negotiation, Nancy’s utmost priorities are to educate her clients every step of the way and advocate for their best interest. Nancy’s sharp senses, emotional intelligence and calm demeanor ensure her clients have a positive, low-stress experience.

Pursuing a career as a professional ballerina as a teen in North Carolina, Nancy studied under New York City Ballet legends Melissa Hayden, Patricia McBride and Jean Pierre Bonnefoux. After graduating from Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia, which her ancestors founded, Nancy continued her dance career in New York City. Transforming her love of health and movement into a business venture, Nancy opened a boutique Pilates studio building a network of clients from the ground-up ranging from celebrities to writers to Wall Streeters. As the business expanded throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Hamptons, so did Nancy’s knowledge of these neighborhoods. Ultimately, she decided to apply this knowledge to a career in real estate.

Nancy currently resides on Manhattan’s Upper East Side and in Sagaponack, New York. In her spare time, she enjoys being active, playing tennis, cooking and spending time with her two dogs, Roxie and Cecil. Throughout the years, Nancy has been involved with various organizations such as the National Dance Institute, God’s Love We Deliver and MS Hope for a Cure.
