MiMi (Jean) Murphy performed in an outstanding manner in gaining a contract for sale within three weeks after the listing of our home in this buyers’ market. With a closing now scheduled at 60 days after the initial listing, as one well versed in the real estate market, I cannot overstate the marvel of her efforts.

At the outset, MiMi demonstrated a distinct knowledge of market conditions in our area, the value of our home, and, especially, the ability to identify potential buyers to effect such an expeditious sale. She presented us with the demographics of the area, a survey of comparable properties sold and those currently on the market, as well as current trends that pointed to drawing prospective buyers.

However, MiMi’s efforts did not end there. She was especially helpful in our preparing our home for sale. We needed to upgrade the basic interior aesthetics of the residence including the refurbishing of a bathroom, internal repairs, and the strategic use of furnishings and lighting throughout. She accompanied us to shopping locales and provided a great sounding board for our deliberations in selecting just the right items for our enhancements. The exterior, so important for first impressions, was especially problematical. MiMi was expert in transforming an aging abode with both landscaping suggestions and a previously planned repainting of the entire exterior in colors currently in trend. She then provided us with recommendations for vendors that proved quite able in completing the exterior improvements to our delight and convenience. Her recommendations in both color and design complemented each other and rendered a mundane portrait into a spectacular vista for both prospective buyers and neighbors alike that continues to draw accolades.

To complete her efforts, MiMi aggressively marketed our home by detailing the intangible benefits of living here in Dosoris Woods through online presentations and with other cooperating brokers. Her familiarity with the area was most beneficial in pointing out the landscape of the Woods, its rural atmosphere and yet how it maintains both an individual nature and intimacy in life here.

MiMi maintained a professional persona throughout in meeting with prospective buyers utilizing a warm and informative approach to the sale in a controlled environment. She quickly pointed out alternatives to visitors who expressed reservations concerning layout or other issues that they saw as potential drawbacks. In securing the buyer, she accompanied them on inspection tours, highlighting features of our home, framing the advantages of living in our neighborhood, and filling in any information that they needed that brought them to their decision.

The most noted aspect of MiMi’s nature is her ability to integrate her management, marketing, design, and communicative skills. My wife and I have both learned through over 6 decades of professional experience between us that it is impressive to be highly proficient in any of these disciplines on just about any employment platform.
