Neighborhood Guide

NORTH END

Live in the North End and you'll definitely eat well-it remains a nexus of Italian restaurants, pastry shops, and specialty wine and grocery stores. But that is not its only appeal. Narrow streets mark the city's oldest neighborhood, dating back to the early 1600s, giving it an Old World vibe. In fact, a portion of Boston's historic Freedom Trail weaves through the North End, passing Paul Revere's house and the Old North Church. While quarters are tight, it's an easy walk to Columbus Park to take in expansive harbor views.
