GARDEN CITY

Stately Colonials and Tudor-style homes with manicured gardens line the tree-shaded avenues of Garden City, which has many amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. Five LIRR stations serve the village, which also has a walkable shopping district along and around Seventh Avenue, with high-caliber restaurants and boutique shops. The 5.3-square-mile village is home to Roosevelt Field, a mega shopping mall, along with Museum Row, whose Long Island Children’s Museum and Cradle of Aviation Museum are among the highlights.
