Spotlight On: Jennifer Martin Faulkner and Kim Martin-Fisher, a Family Affair

For superstar agents, and mother-daughter duo, Kim Martin-Fisher and Jennifer Martin Faulkner, real estate seemingly comes naturally, as if carried in their DNA. These 3rd and 4th generation realtors, working side-by-side as The KMF JMF Group, specialize in the Jacksonville Beaches area, including Ponte Vedra Beach.

Elliman Insider spoke with them to find out more about their background, what they love about Ponte Vedra Beach and learn more about their unique approach to real estate as a family affair.

Elliman Insider: When did you know that real estate was your calling?

Kim and Jennifer: Real estate is a legacy in our family. We are 3rd and 4th generation real estate professionals.

Kim’s grandmother (Jennifer’s great grandmother) owned a real estate company in the 1950s and Kim’s father owned a commercial construction company and was a developer. There was never a time that real estate was not in the conversation.

EI: What do you love most about Ponte Vedra?

K&J: The people. Ponte Vedra Beach is a small affluent community where almost everyone is from somewhere else.

We have lived here since 1996 and have watched this charming coastal community evolve from a hidden gem to a sought-after residential luxury destination with a five-diamond resort, PGA Headquarters, ATP Tour Headquarters and Mayo within 10 minutes. And the sunsets! They look much different here than in South Florida. It’s like a painting.

EI: What is your biggest challenge as agents?

K&J: Coordinating and scheduling last minute. In luxury real estate you have to be extremely flexible with your time. It’s the only way you can serve your client.

EI: Do you live by a personal mantra or favorite saying?

K&J: We believe in the law of cause-and-effect: Karma.

EI: Why did you choose Elliman?

EI: What’s a ‘locals secret’ we should know about the area?

K&J: Ponte Vedra Beach was known as Mineral City in the early 1900. The area is rich in history. Just a block from the ocean, is the Beaches Town Center. It has a historic vibe with brick paved streets and is a great place to grab a drink or bite.

EI: Any advice for new agents?

K&J: You have to be tech savvy. Buyers and sellers are moving at a faster pace than ever before and you have to keep up.

EI: Where can we find you when you’re not working?

K&J: Most likely hanging out with our family (though probably still working)!
