Elliman’s Sports & Entertainment Division Hosts “Career Crossover” Event for Pro Soccer Players

On Monday, December 11, the Sports & Entertainment Division of Douglas Elliman convened members of the Major League Soccer Players Association for a special event to showcase the myriad opportunities for players to participate in the real estate industry. Presented in partnership with JPMorgan Private Bank, Legendary Productions and Two Roads Development , which hosted attendees at its portfolio property EDITION Residences at Edgewater , the event was the latest in the Elliman division’s “Career Crossover” gatherings for professional athletes to learn about career options, investment strategies and the natural synergies between pro sports and the real estate industry. The division has previously assembled the players associations for the National Basketball Association and the National Football League. Following introductory remarks from Taylor Collins, Co-Founder of Two Roads Development, and Jay Phillip Parker, Elliman’s CEO of Brokerage for the Florida Region, the program featured an interactive experience in which attendees formed two teams to explore different parts of the EDITION project and compete to answer questions in a “penalty round” designed to ensure they had been attentive. Along with networking and conversation, the event included an exclusive dinner for MLS players sponsored by JPMorgan Private Bank. Participants from Douglas Elliman included Darin Tansey , Executive Director of Luxury Sales, Hanan A Idris Ali , Sales Associate, and Rosemarie Laffler , National Director of the Sports & Entertainment Division, with support from Brenda Bichilli , Elliman’s Sales Director at EDITION, and Michelle Quinoa , VP of Sales Operations at Two Roads Development.
