As the year comes to a close, we’re reflecting back on the most popular properties of 2023—the ones that got the most attention in the news and on social media. Whether they were associated with celebrities, sold for a record-breaking price or had uniquely novel features, these eight properties got lots of buzz.
Florida
10 Tarpon Isle, Palm Beach, Fla. | $187,500,000
After making headlines in March as the most expensive listing in the United States, at $218 million, this Palm Beach property (now listed at $187 million) spans more than 2 acres of land on a private island and more than 20,000 square feet of interior living space. With 1,300 linear feet of water frontage, 360-degree water and skyline views, an outdoor tennis court, two private docks, a south-facing pool, an east-facing pool, full outdoor kitchen, fireplace and pool bar, this one’s worth the hype. Grammy award-winning rapper Lil Wayne listed his contemporary waterfront home in Miami Beach for nearly $30 million at the end of 2022. Just five months later, Douglas Elliman agent Cyril Matz facilitated the $22,583,000 closing of the home, representing both parties in the deal. The 10,600-square-foot abode includes seven bedrooms, a home theater, suede wall coverings and walls of windows that look out onto a spacious backyard with a swimming pool and 110 feet of water frontage with a dock.

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner got a new landlord when their Surfside, Miami, rental changed hands in a $17,000,000 transaction—and garnered a lot of attention in the press . Located in the upscale 16-unit condominium building Arte, the 201 unit features two kitchens, two family rooms, two terraces and a travertine-clad primary bathroom. Douglas Elliman agents Miltiadis Kastanis and Dina Goldentayer represented the transaction.
The Hamptons
The $3.75-Million Montauk Shores Trailer
In February, the New York Post reported on the off-market sale of an oceanfront trailer in the Ditch Plains neighborhood of Montauk, which sold for $3.75 million with Will Gold from Douglas Elliman’s Atlantic Team . At nearly $5,000 per square foot, this sale was record-breaking for the Montauk Shores community. The previous record was a $1.85 million trailer sale in 2022. “[Ditch Plains] is an oasis for surfers and beachgoers,” Will Gold told the Post. “And in the past several years has been subject to an extraordinary amount of growth and transformation.”
Hudson River Valley, NY
618 Quaker Hill Road, Pawling, New York | $6,500,000
Former talk show host Sally Jessy Raphael listed her 25-acre equestrian estate in Pawling, New York, for $6,500,000. The property features a three-story Elizabethan-style manor which dates back to 1860 and is host to 17 bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, four half-baths, 10 fireplaces, hand-carved pilasters, hand-painted plaster ceilings, leaded glass windows, and an oak grand staircase with hand-carved wooden animals on the posts. Two caretaker homes, a carriage house, yoga studio, stables, and greenhouse are also included.
Nevada
15 Bright Hollow Court, The Ridges, Las Vegas, Nev. | Sold for $5,900,000
Inspired by several trips to Italy, the previous owners of this Nevada property built a piece of La Dolce Vita amid the desert landscape. “The roughly half-acre property contains a replica of an Italian street, complete with cobblestones, a fountain and cafe tables,” the Wall Street Journal wrote . The home spans just under 10,000 square feet in size and features mahogany wood floors, pocket doors, a custom chef’s kitchen with stainless-steel appliances, an outdoor kitchen and a 600-bottle temperature controlled wine room.
Colorado
3448 Woody Creek Road, Woody Creek, Colo. | $68,000,000
This sweeping 244-acre Colorado compound features seven homes, including a Hobbit-inspired retreat and a magical Storybook main home. Two Mile Ranch dates back to the Natal Family of the 1880s, offering a peek into the past of western settlers. Buyers have the opportunity to build horse stables, barns and an additional 10,000 square feet of new living space, while conservation easements will ensure privacy and preservation. According to the Wall Street Journal , the current owner, Pat Scanlan, purchased Two Mile Creek back in 2021 and spent $8 million on upgrades.
Massachusetts
113 Juggler Meadow, Leverett, Mass. | $30,000,000
Previously owned by Michael Kittredge II, the late founder of Yankee Candle Co., the Juggler Meadow Estate became a viral video star in October when YouTube star MrBeast featured the Elliman listing in a tour of homes ranging in price from $1 to $100,000,000. With a five-bedroom main home, several guest houses, a spa, four tennis courts, two car barns, a nine-hole golf course, pool, indoor water park, full auditorium and performance stage, it’s easy to see why a property like this garnered so much attention.
