Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes Celebrate 20 Years of Partnership

It is my great pleasure to congratulate Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes on reaching a truly remarkable milestone: 20 years of unparalleled partnership.

As cofounders of The Eklund | Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman, Fred and John have lifted luxury real estate to previously unimaginable heights, producing billions in sales year after year.

Their approach to partnership has been a case study in how to sustain lasting business relationships, and their mastery of media, marketing, and personal branding has revolutionized the way high-end properties and new developments go to market.

Since launching in Manhattan in 2005, the team has expanded to luxury markets across the country, from the Hamptons and Florida to Texas and Los Angeles, enabling them to service clients across markets, capitalize on emerging trends, and develop relationships with national developers.

As Fred and John readily acknowledge, they could not have achieved such success without Julia Spillman, who joined the team in 2016, spearheading expansion, recruitment, and marketing strategy. Julia was named CEO in 2017 and partner in 2022. I know they are equally grateful for Suzie Guardino, who serves as the team’s Chief Operating Officer.
