Elliman Named ‘Best Firm’ by Aspen Times

In a year of full of adversity, Douglas Elliman’s Colorado brokerage is celebrating being named the  best real estate firm by  The Aspen Times in its annual “Best of” survey for 2020. “It has been a challenging year in a competitive real estate market and we are so proud of our team in Colorado who have exceeded all expectations,” the Douglas Elliman executive leadership said in a company-wide memo. “It is the dedication, expertise and hard work of our stellar agents and our incredible leadership team.” Members of the Douglas Elliman Colorado team gather at Maroon Bells. A major part of that team is Ed Foran, Managing Director of Sales for Elliman Aspen.   Elliman Insider caught up with Ed to get his insight into how a real estate firm can really benefit a community and why this award means so much, this year especially. Elliman Insider : What is it about the Elliman approach that allowed your team to win this award? Ed Foran: Honestly, (and this may sound a little corny) we’re a family and like all families, we’re not perfect, but the glue that holds us together is love. I truly think that is what separates us from the competition. Besides the fact that our brokers and staff are the best professionals in the business, we are passionate about giving back and serving those less fortunate than us in the community during these difficult times. EI:   Does it make it more special to win this award in such a challenging year? EF: Absolutely! Thanks to our brokers and staff, we had a banner year and increased our dollar volume by over 100% from the prior year, in spite of many personal challenges and sacrifices. EI: Where does the Douglas Elliman Aspen team go from here? EF: This award is a validation from our community that we’re on the right track, but we can’t rest on our laurels.
