Elliman Gives Back: National Day of Service Supports Causes and Communities in Need

From volunteering at food pantries in Connecticut, California and Texas to joining a community garden cleanup in Boston to pedal-powered fundraising in New York City and The Hamptons, members of the extended Douglas Elliman family gave their time, energy and empathy to participate in Elliman Gives Back , the company’s second annual national day of service this past Saturday, October 1.
In Manhattan and the Hamptons, agents, executives and staff mounted SoulCycle bikes for the 10th annual Ride for Love , which raised more than $200,000 in support of the meal delivery service God’s Love We Deliver.
In Florida and around the country, Elliman agents and staff kicked off a fundraising campaign for Hurricane Ian victims in partnership with the American Red Cross. Douglas Elliman has pledged to match every dollar (up to $50,000) donated to its Red Cross campaign.

In Texas, while agents and staff from Dallas helped to sort, bag, box and prepare food for over 19,000 meals at the North Texas Food Bank , and Houston employees inspected, sorted and repacked donated food items at the Houston Food Bank warehouse, the Austin team supported Mobile Loaves & Fishes through gardening, groundskeeping and landscaping at their 51-acre master planned community, which provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness.
In California, Elliman Angelinos worked at Project Angel Food to help prepare more than 1,700 nutritious, medically tailored meals for people living with life-threatening illnesses, while the Santa Barbara contingent volunteered with Adam’s Angels , a nonprofit founded by Elliman agent Adam McKaig , assembling more than 300 bags of non-perishable food items to serve 60-80 guests experiencing hardship within the community.
A day-long food drive in Aspen to collected and helped to distribute fresh and shelf-stable food for local food pantries, as well as those serving Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, New Castle, Rifle and Parachute.
Las Vegas agents and staff helped to support Candlelighters , a nonprofit that serves children diagnosed with cancer and receiving treatment in Nevada, by raising money and collecting items for the upcoming Candlelighters Halloween bash.
Elliman Bostonians helped to clean a community garden and promote equitable food access at Groundwork Somerville , an organization in Somerville, Mass., that educates the public on sustainable urban farming and the importance of food justice.
In Greenwich, Conn., agents and staff volunteered at Neighbor to Neighbor to provide access to food, clothing and basic living essentials to community members in need.
