Elliman Insider sat down to find out everything from what Yair’s biggest challenge is to why it’s important to be ahead of the curve in a business that’s always changing.

Elliman Insider: When did you know that real estate was your calling?

Yair Tavivian: I was always fascinated by real estate, but when I landed in New York City, after serving in the Israeli Army, and saw the magnitude of the New York’s skyline—that was when I really felt inspired to get into the business.

EI: What is your biggest challenge as an agent?

YT: Find the right balance between personal and professional time. The works is so demanding that you can get confused. Make sure to balance.

EI: Do you live by a personal mantra or favorite saying?

YT: Don’t worry, be happy.

EI: Why did you choose Elliman?

YT: There is no other firm that provides you with the entrepreneurial freedom like Douglas Elliman.

EI: How has Elliman upped your real estate game?

YT: I was always able to discuss ideas and come up with a solution with upper management. The attention, support and commitment is always there when you bring strong ideas.

EI: Any advice for new agents?

YT: Always provide value to your clients, constantly analyze and translate data so you can easily communicate it, come up with a differentiating factor, be ahead of the curve since this industry is always changing.

EI: Where can we find you when you are not working?

YT: With my wife Dar, and our kids Rafael and Libi. Or, in our kitchen or outdoors—either hiking or on a road trip.
