Originally from Boston where he graduated from Boston College and its law school, Peter embarked on a successful career in family law and probate litigation as a partner at Burns & Levinson LLP in New York and Boston and Bingham McCutchen (now Morgan, Lewis & Bockius) in Boston. Representing a broad spectrum of clients from those with billions in assets to volunteer work for those unable to afford counsel, Peter has been nationally recognized as a Best Lawyer in America and Massachusetts Super Lawyer; he was profiled in Details Magazine in October of 2011 and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Time Magazine and the Boston Globe among other publications worldwide. However, real estate has been his passion for decades.
When he is not working, Peter enjoys exploring great cities and neighborhoods and soaking up their history and architecture. He has developed a strong interest in mid-century and modern design and as an investor in real estate himself, has owned homes in Boston, New York City and Provincetown on Cape Cod and has maintained a home in Fort Lauderdale since 2000.
Among his charitable interests, Peter serves on the board of the firm's charitable endeavor, Douglas Elliman Shares supporting Feeding South Florida, St Jude Hospital and Habitat for Humanity among other causes, is active with the American Cancer Society, The South Florida Symphony, Florida AIDS Walk and was a hands-on supporter of Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang Camp and Fenway Community Health Center.
