Built in 1908, this 12-story co-operative building contains only 25 apartments. Many of the original units were multi-level and the building is unusual in that its Park Avenue facade has many "bricked-up" windows. The building was split between duplex units on the Park Avenue side and smaller units on 77th Street. Architects Pollard & Steinam chose to establish a regular, evenly spaced grid of "blind windows" over the building's facade, as the single units required a fairly closer spacing of windows, and this pattern was extended to the duplex section. Amenities at this pet-friendly historic prewar building include a full-time doorman, central A/C, and basement storage. Diagonally across Park Avenue from the "pink" pavilion of Lenox Hill Hospital, the pet-friendly prewar co-op is also near the restaurants, boutiques, art galleries and museums of Madison Avenue and everything the Upper East Side has to offer.
