Elan Gabai was intrigued by real estate from his childhood years when his father, a contractor, would bring him to his construction sites. Originally from Rockland County, Elan moved to Manhattan in 1999 and became even more fascinated – so much so he decided to make real estate his full-time career.
Prior to that, Elan worked in the fashion business, first as an assistant buyer for Saks Fifth Avenue then on the wholesale side at a major women’s fashion company for 11 years. His experience in design, merchandising, marketing, selling and launching new divisions honed his business acumen, sense of style and eye for potential which he now applies to his clients’ homes. “I love helping my renters and buyers visualize the possibilities of a space, just as I do showcasing the unique qualities of a property for a seller looking to optimize its presentation appeal.”
Elan is also highly knowledgeable of all neighborhoods of Manhattan, especially the Upper West Side where he lived for six years and the Upper East Side where he currently resides.
Coupled with his own expertise, he brings his clients the full support of an outstanding team at Douglas Elliman headed by top-producing broker Adam Rothman.
Dependable, responsive, trustworthy and tenacious, Elan will go to any length to make each client feel secure and fully satisfied. He upholds the highest standards of service, and believes in using your time efficiently to streamline the often intricate real estate process.
Elan is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a Bachelor degree in Marketing. In spare time he enjoys the beach, deep sea fishing, biking, hiking, working out, and taking long walks through Central Park where he always sees something new to appreciate.
