GREAT NECK

Great Neck includes nine villages and several unincorporated areas. At its heart is Great Neck Plaza, where there is a sophisticated, urban feel among the wide selection of restaurants and shops. The downtown also has an assortment of apartments, co-ops, and condos, and an LIRR station, from which riders can be in Manhattan in as little as 24 minutes?the shortest commute from any Long Island community bar none. Pretty parks are dispersed throughout the Great Neck peninsula, including the waterfront Steppingstone Park, which has a marina, a sailing school, and an aqua park. Stately Tudors, Colonials, and contemporaries are among the housing choices.
