Negwegon is also home to a designated dark sky preserve, providing awesome opportunities to view the night sky.

The park is generously supported by the Friends of Negwegon. This nonprofit volunteer group works with the Department of Natural Resources to help preserve, protect and promote the park through stewardship, education and research.
