Just two miles from Sag Harbor town, twenty minutes from East Hampton, Amagansett and Bridgehampton, and one mile from the Shelter Island ferry, this charming cedar shake home was originally built in the 18th century on the southern side of Sag Harbor and moved to its current location in the early/mid 1900s. It has since been expanded twice to bring it to its current 6+ bedroom, 4 bathroom size. Three kids bedrooms, one with bunk beds and two with trundle beds that roll out into double twin beds, leave plenty of space for family and guests. There's a child's playroom complete with toys. A tv room on the main floor with access to both the backyard and pool area also has a trundle bed for two more guests. A large, vaulted sunroom with seating is ideal for night time conversation. An inviting screened-in porch that looks out over the backyard and pool area has couches for relaxing, an outdoor dining area, and a projector and drop down screen for watching night time movies or for outdoor enjoyment on rainy days. The large backyard yard has a small basketball court and a movable fire pit with chairs. The beautiful pool area has ample couch seating and lounge chairs plus an outdoor dining area. On one end of the pool area is a lighted screened in gazebo. On the other end is a pool house with barn doors that can open up during the day for access to an inside with a mini kitchen, half bathroom, and seating with a tv. Off site, you can grab one of three kayaks and a paddle board kept down the road by the private community's water access to Sag Harbor Bay and enjoy some nautical time admiring the sights. Long Beach, which is just two miles away, has an expansive beach and view of a great bay where you can also bring the kayaks for daytime trips. When you return from a long day, the winding driveway in front with two entrances can hold a large number of cars. This property is a complete, serene getaway spot for a large family and guests with lots of amenities to help make every day an enjoyable adventure.
