The interior architectural effort has been heralded by the Architect Ronald Castellano, of Studio Castellano, whose most recent contribution to the neighborhood includes the restoration of 142 Henry Street, a condominium he recently converted. Mr. Castellanos design intent for The Forward Building was to implement the fundamentals of contemporary design in an historical Landmark tastefully. Interior renovations will preserve the splendidly ornate plaster dome over the mezzanine level, and every unit will enjoy the buildings abundance of oversize windows. The result is a meditative transitional environment with minimalist and serene residences. Castellanos approach to the interior architecture eschews todays developers cookie-cutter methods.
