Construction Begins on Leland South Congress, Austin’s Best-Selling New Condo Development

North American real estate developer Intracorp Homes today announced that construction on Leland South Congress, the company’s landmark mixed-use residential development at 2121 S. Congress Ave., has commenced. The milestone follows the closing of construction financing with BGO. With 45% of the building already pre-sold, the project has proven to be one of the most successful and fastest-selling in the region.
Intracorp has selected ANDRES Construction as the general contractor overseeing vertical construction on the seven-story development, which will feature 265 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, along with expansive penthouse units and nearly 22,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurant space, anchored by a 6,000-square-foot outdoor dining paseo.
Located in the heart of the South Congress entertainment district, Leland South Congress perfectly captures the creative spirit and vibrant energy that has made South Congress Avenue one of Austin’s most beloved neighborhoods.
Leland will offer nearly 30,000 square feet of extensive amenities across three levels, including a state-of-the-art fitness club, infrared sauna, resort-style pool deck with outdoor dining, private quarter-acre garden with reflection pool, pet grooming spa and play area, private dining room with catering kitchen, great room and owner's bar, library and coworking lounges, and club room. Local award-winning studio Michael Hsu Office of Architecture has specifically designed and programmed the amenity spaces, interiors of the homes and ground-floor retail space. Kirksey is the lead architect on the building, with landscape design by Nudge shaping the project’s timeless design elements through the building and outdoor spaces.

The residences are being marketed by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing, with Shop Companies overseeing leasing for the ground-level retail spaces. Leifer Properties serves as co-developer, alongside project partners Northland Properties and ARON Industries.
