The GVC Team Launches at Douglas Elliman with Sharon Baum, Elyse Gutman as Strategic Partners

Top-producing agents John Gasdaska, Thomas J. “T.J.” Verdiglione and Jonathan Conlon have joined forces to launch a new venture at Douglas Elliman. The GVC Team will be led by the three co-founders and anchored by strategic partnerships with renowned real estate veterans Sharon Baum and Elyse Gutman. Gasdaska, Conlon, Baum and Gutman were previously at Corcoran, and Verdiglione is an Elliman agent based in Boca Raton, Fla. and Fairhaven, NJ. Since co-founding The Gasdaska Conlon Team in 2006, Gasdaska and Conlon have consistently placed in the top 1% of agents and won membership in the Multi-Million-Dollar Club at their previous brokerage. They have earned a sterling reputation for expertly representing buyers and sellers across all of Manhattan and prime neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Queens, as well as Southern Dutchess and all of Putnam County. In 2024, both were awarded the prestigious Robby Browne Spirit Award for their charitable works, as well as contributions to the industry and willingness to mentor and forge deep and meaningful relationships with their peers and colleagues. A native of Freehold, NJ, with a family background in property development and investment, Verdiglione began his real estate career at 18 years old before joining The Gasdaska Conlon Team in 2019. Sharon Baum and Elyse Gutman A legendary specialist in high-end properties, Baum has brokered the sale of some two billion dollars of luxury townhouses and apartments in many of New York’s most exclusive buildings, including the $40-million sale of the historic Duke-Semans Mansion in 2005. In addition to receiving the residential real estate industry’s highest honor, the Real Estate Board of New York’s Henry Forster Award, she is the only agent to have twice received REBNY’s “Deal of the Year” award. The first woman to serve as Vice President of Chemical Bank, Sharon was also one of seven women in the first coed graduating class at Harvard Business School. With a background in interior design and retail sales, Gutman began her real estate career in 1995 and went on to form The Gutman Team with her husband, Steve. The team sold more than $100,000,000 in recent years, earning them a place in their previous brokerage’s top 2% and repeated annual membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Club.
