Douglas Elliman Presents 2024 LEXUS International Gay Polo Tournament

Douglas Elliman recently served as a presenting sponsor for the 2024 LEXUS International Gay Polo Tournament , which drew LGBTQ+ polo players from around the world to compete this April in Wellington, Florida. Held April 4-6 at Wellington’s Patagones Polo Club, the tournament was organized by the  Gay Polo League , which seeks to inspire and empower LGBTQ+ individuals through promotion of and participation in the sport of polo while “changing perceptions in the LGBTQ community, athletics, and society, one chukker at a time.” Four teams competed for Gay Polo League Perpetual Trophies. The Cherry Knoll Farm team won the Senator’s Cup while the Goshen Hill team took the Founder’s Cup. Cherry Knoll’s Gus Larrosa was named MVP. Douglas Elliman has been a longtime supporter and sponsor of events and organizations that promote both equestrian sports and LGBTQ+ equity and inclusivity, including The Hamptons Classic , Winter Equestrian Festival , the Houston Polo Club and Aspen Gay Ski Week . In addition to player and sponsor receptions preceding the tournament, the event featured a Polotini Charity Party that raised $100,000 to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Tailgate winners were Douglas Elliman for Best in Show, the McEnhoes for Best Food, Billy Vitucci’s Peacocks for Best Dressed, Willy Wonka for Best Theme, the Village of Wellington for Best Corporate Tailgate and an Honorable Mention for the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida.
