August 2026

Douglas Elliman announced August 12 that it has appointed Nick Patino to serve as Director, AI Enablement. The new role is focused on advancing the Elliman’s major investment in AI transformation with the launch of Elius, a newly formed intelligence company under the Elliman banner.

Based in Miami, Patino will lead AI adoption strategy in all of Elliman’s markets across the company’s brokerage, new development marketing and corporate operations, from embedding new tools into the daily workflows and driving organizational change to quantifying productivity gains and measurable business value.

In announcing the appointment, Douglas Elliman President and CEO Michael S. Liebowitz and President of National Brokerage Lena Johnson stressed that Patino’s mandate is to ensure that new AI capabilities “change how more than 6,000 of us work every day,” adding: “The technology is being built. Nick's job is to turn it into adoption, and adoption into results.”

Patino joins Elliman from The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. He previously spent four years at Compass, where he drove adoption of the Compass platform across a portfolio of more than 300 agents and helped build Compass Core, a nationally broadcast enablement series that unified how agents worked across markets. Prior to that, he spent eight years at Apple, rising from Specialist to Creative Pro.

In June, Elliman announced the launch of a company-wide technology infrastructure transformation to support its evolution into a technology-forward enterprise. The transformation follows two parallel tracks to reset the company’s non-commission-based cost structure across business units while building a proprietary intelligence business under the name Elius. Both tracks are enabled by Google Cloud technology, including its AI models and enterprise infrastructure.
