DE Development Marketing Co-Hosts Fundraiser for Upper West Side Arts Festival at 212 West 72nd Street

Since it was founded in 2005, the Verdi Square Festival of the Arts has celebrated music, culture, and community on the Upper West Side with its annual series of free live performances in the eponymous traffic island adjacent to the 72nd Street subway entrance.

Although ongoing MTA capital repairs forced the festival to cancel this season’s performances, plans for the upcoming 20th anniversary season were given a boost thanks to a recent fundraising event hosted at 212 West 72nd Street, the CetraRuddy-designed residential tower overlooking Verdi Square.

Douglas Elliman Development Marketing, which leads sales and marketing for 212 West 72nd Street, co-presented the October 16 event with the Manhattan School of Music, Centurion Real Estate Partners, and Chase Bank. In the spirit of community engagement and support for arts and culture on the Upper West Side, Ammanda Espinal, Director of Sales at 212 West 72nd Street, initiated the collaboration when she reached out to the festival's general director, Glen Wilkofsky.
