Shared between the towns of Mount Pleasant and Ossining, the village of Briarcliff Manor, NY, lies nestled along the scenic Hudson River. The neighborhoods of Scarborough (a hamlet) and Chilmark (a residential community that includes a shopping center) lie within Briarcliff Manor as well. The 6.7-square-mile “Village between Two Rivers“ offers residents a small-town feel while being only 30 miles north of Manhattan. The main street of its stroll-friendly central business district is lined with fashion boutiques, gift shops, and popular restaurants. Briarcliff Manor is known for its award-winning school district (ranked 94th nationally as a public school system). Briarcliff may be best known for being voted number 19 on CNN Money's "25 Top Earning Towns in the U.S.”, and for the Trump National Golf Club. The late Brooke Astor's home, Holly Hill, is located in Briarcliff Manor. Sleepy Hollow Road is the road associated with the legend of Sleepy Hollow—Ichabod Farms, a house associated with the legend’s protagonist, can be found along it.

With New York City and Long Island Sound to the south, Putnam County on the north and Connecticut to the east, Westchester County holds the distinction of being the world’s first large-scale suburb. Major interstate highways constructed during the 1950s and ‘60s and the construction of the Tappan Zee Bridge encouraged major corporations to build their headquarters here. A sweet spot for commuters traveling by car or by the Metro-North Commuter Railroad, today’s Westchester is one of the nation’s most affluent counties and the location of many of New York City's most desirable suburban communities.
