With a background in engineering, branding, event production, community development, theater and real estate sales, Michael Allen has found a winning synthesis of skills in his position at Douglas Elliman: Director of Sales for the dynamic Williamsburg office. In addition to a strong and experienced residential practice, the office also offers deep experience in new development and almost any type of commercial deal. His seasoned agents regularly deal with rent stabilization, 1031 exchanges, estate sales, complex highest and best use analyses, and know how to close very complex deals. A resident of the North Brooklyn area since 2001, Michael has been selling real estate since 2004, and exclusively in Brooklyn since 2007, leaving both previous offices at the top of his game. In one previous life he spent 5 years at a top branding firm in San Francisco in various roles, and for his final 5 years as a sales agent immersed himself in new development marketing and sales. Michael is a huge fan of everything Brooklyn, including the ever-growing list of small businesses in the area. Made in Brooklyn means quality, character and creativity. And like a real Brooklynite, he's “got a guy” for everything. Michael’s also a long-time supporter of the local arts community. He’s assisted the Williamsburg Gallery Association, sold out the residential portion of the building where Center for Performance Research resides, and proudly serves on the board of directors for Triskelion Arts in Williamsburg. Michael chose Douglas Elliman because it nicely balances being a powerful market force with the very best tools in the industry, while remaining very much a reflection of any neighborhood it’s in. Now he’s leading, collaborating, creating, communicating, coaching, and connecting all wrapped up into one career - and he thinks that’s pretty cool.
