In Manhattan, year over year rental price growth accelerated in recent months as the market share of concessions slid. The median rent for new development rose at more than twice the rate of existing properties.
Brooklyn median rent reached a record as the market share of concessions continued to fall. The average size of a studio and a three-bedroom rental apartment rose sharply.

The Northwest Queens market was contrarian to the other boroughs, showing softer rental price trends and more concessions from landlords.
