Testimonials

I could not have asked to work with a more professional, more determined real estate broker than Suzanne Schein. She was able to identify a buyer for the apartment I was selling, in a difficult co-op sales market, at the price I was looking for, in only 4 months!

The apartment in question is a one bedroom unit located The Brevoort, a luxury co-op building in Greenwich Village. It was jointly owned by my mother and me. After my mother died in 2017, I held onto the apartment for a bit of time before deciding to sell it in early 2019. I retained Suzanne to find a buyer, primarily based upon her reputation as an effective and successful agent.

Suzanne began to show the unit at the end of February 2019. Before she did, she was strict re her standards for presenting the apartment. While the unit was spotless, there was the matter of paint touch ups and window cleaning. She was 100% correct; Suzanne understands how to present an apartment for sale.

My effort to put the apartment in presentable condition, combined with Suzanne’s ability to bring potential buyers to view the apartment, worked. She found a qualified buyer and produced a signed contract, at the terms and conditions that was I looking for, before the end of June 2019. What else could one ask for?

Should you be looking to either buy, sell or rent an apartment, I am of the opinion that you would be hard pressed to find a better, more effective real estate agent than Suzanne Schein.

Suzanne,

You're great! When I was searching online for a real estate agent to sell a co-op - 10E- at the Brevoort in Greenwich Village, your smiling face came up every time. Your experience and knowledge of the building, the community and doing Manhattan real estate played an incredible role during a challenging market to have a buyer during the first week. You're a good team player, a good listener as well as director in knowing what's necessary to get everything ready for a proper showing. Your creativity in using just the proper amount of existing furnishings and factual, yet colorful description of this co-op got the attention it needed from the very first day. You also went the extra mile along the way when so many details needed attending. Certainly, can't ask for more.

Peace,
Chris

Suzanne helped us sell our apartment in Greenwich Village in 1 week at our asking price! Suzanne was instrumental in making this all happen. Her savvy and expertise was evident from the very beginning. Suzanne was professional, extremely thorough, and attentive to our personal needs. Buying/selling an apartment can be very stressful and emotional. Suzanne made this process as smooth and comfortable as possible. I recommend Suzanne as your agent- she is an exceptional real estate broker and we were lucky to have hired her.Sincerely,

We had owned a one bedroom pied-a-terre at 11 Fifth Avenue, The Brevoort, for a number of years. We decided to move to New York City full time and realized we needed more space. We asked Suzanne Schein, whom we have known for several years, to assist us in selling our one bedroom; and finding us a new, larger home to purchase in The Brevoort. Both of which Suzanne accomplished successfully and amazingly fast. Suzanne was our seller's broker on one property and our buyer's broker on the other property. In all instances, Suzanne was extremely professional, detail oriented and sensitive to the personal aspects of these transactions. We highly recommend Suzanne as a New York City real estate agent.N&A December 2017

Suzanne Schein has been one of my best friends for a long time. When my Mom passed away last year I needed someone I could trust to help me sell her Manhattan co-op. I was a little hesitant about working with a friend on what was certain to be a difficult and emotional sale; but I ultimately decided that Suzanne was my best choice. I was absolutely right! Suzanne’s advice on how to market and price the apartment was well researched and we ultimately sold it for our asking price. Suzanne took care of all the details from the first open house to the closing table. She paid special attention to preparing the Board Package with the buyer’s broker and prepping the buyers for the dreaded Board Interview. This was a particularly difficult board, and there were problems along the way. The story has a happy ending …. Suzanne and I are still friends!

In service marketing, there are the four Ps: price, product, promotion, and place. With Suzanne, we found a realtor with her own four P's of service attributes: patience, persistence, perseverance, and professionalism.
Suzanne spent a lot of time with us over the last few months on two distinct real estate transactions. While neither deal came to fruition because of decisions on our part, Suzanne helped us, always putting our needs first. The first deal was when we tried to expand our apartment with a neighboring unit to secure outdoor space. To do this, we opted to sell our master bedroom and bath to an adjacent unit and, believe it or not, the owner did want to buy the bedroom and bath (only in NYC would this happen.) The second deal was when we tried to purchase a 3 BR/3 BA unit on the upper west side. The owner was difficult and the deal complex because of issues with the building and bank. Unfortunately we lost this unit because it went to auction.
Suzanne is hard-working and responsive. She was patient, professional, and took the necessary actions to implement our requirements. We will use her again when another opportunity arises to purchase/sell. We highly recommend her to anyone looking in the difficult New York City real estate market.

Suzanne Schein was the agent that my sister worked with when she decided to rent her apartment in NY and move to another city. My sister spoke very highly of Suzanne, and she was very happy with the support Suzanne provided.

Unfortunately, sometime after that, my sister passed away following a sudden illness. This was a challenging emotional time for my family and me. And, as executor of her estate, I had the task of selling her apartment in NYC. This was further complicated by the fact that my family and I live in California.

Based on the positive experience my late sister had with Suzanne, I made the decision to choose her as our Real Estate agent. I am very happy that I made that decision. Suzanne provided excellent guidance on selling the coop while at the same time she was sensitive to the emotional aspects of this sale. She was able to find a very well qualified buyer, and we were pleased with the selling price.

Since we live cross-country, Suzanne also offered to assist with some logistical issues regarding preparing the coop for sale which I would consider “above and beyond” what most agents would do.

I highly recommend Suzanne as a Real Estate agent.

Dear Suzanne

It was a pleasure working with you on the Brevoort studio purchase and we thank you for your kindness, generosity, gravitas and faith that we could get this done. It was a journey but we got there! Hopefully we will get the chance to work again on another one soon. In the meantime hope you enjoy the fall and the rest of the season.

My wife and I recently purchased a coop apartment in The Brevoort, for which Suzanne Schein was the listing agent. Though we were represented in the transaction by our own broker, we were very impressed by Suzanne’s professionalism, helpfulness in making the transaction feel seamless, knowledge of the building and keen insight into the requirements of the coop’s Board. Throughout the process, we appreciated her forthrightness, respect and warm welcoming to us.

Sincerely,
EJ

Suzanne Schein has been a friend of mine for 14 years. She was/is vital to my business ventures. The first time I needed Suzanne’s real estate skills was in 2001 when my husband’s 93 year old mother (who lived in The Brevoort) died. We asked Suzanne to represent us in the sale of her high floor one bedroom, one bath unit. The buyer who was interested in the property divided her time between New York City and Washington, DC. It was obviously a more difficult scenario as this was not her primary residence. The various people involved had different schedules for the closing and that was another issue. Suzanne handled the whole situation with great skill and managed to do a successful sale, which was satisfactory to everyone. Not an easy thing.

Our next need for Suzanne’s expertise was in 2002 when I decided to sell my brownstone in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Brooklyn was beginning to get "hot"; and I had purchased the house when prices were low. I stood to gain a substantial amount of money. Suzanne was not very familiar with Brooklyn, but since she was a friend we gave her the listing for 3 months. Again, Suzanne was diligent and as always personable and kind. Suzanne not only sold the house quickly, she also made me more money that I thought it was worth!

Now up to today; I had been living in a one bedroom, one bath apartment in the Brevoort. I wanted to purchase a 2 bedroom, 2 bath in our building which meant selling and buying at the same time. Again, a very anxiety provoking and difficult situation. Suzanne handled everything beautifully with great tact and always with a smile. Suzanne was kind and polite in spite of some tough moments. We bought our larger apartment in late September 2014 and closed on the one bedroom unit in mid-October 2014!

Again I say that Suzanne did a wonderful job under very demanding circumstances. She was more than capable, and as always ready to do whatever was called for and to do it well. Suzanne was a pleasure to work with.

I must say, until I worked with Suzanne on these last two transactions; I had no idea what a very demanding and challenging job real estate is!

When you hire Suzanne, she will exceed your expectations.

Suzanne Schein was uniquely qualified to offer valuable advice regarding the content and format for our co-op board application. She made herself available to us whenever necessary and encouraged communication between all parties involved. We are sincerely pleased with the results.

To Whom It May Concern,I would like to recommend Suzanne Schein as a real estate broker. She helped us secure our apartment on the Upper West Side after many months of looking and now we are happy homeowners!

Suzanne spent a lot of time over a few months looking with us always putting our needs first, asking us our opinions and trying to gauge our interest in different apartments. We valued her listening skills and patience to help us determine what we liked best since we were buying our first home. Her high energy also helped on long appointment days and made us believe we’d find the perfect home eventually.

Suzanne is an experienced business person and it shows – she has been in sales her whole career in fact. She knew to make a “human” connection with our favorite property’s brokers and we believe that helped cinch the deal from the get-go.

She also prepped us for the co-op board well. She knew what they were looking for (no questions or re-writes on our application) and helped us sail right through the interview with her tips and tricks. We felt very prepared and ready for their questions thanks to her detail-orientation.

In closing, we would not have been able to secure our lovely apartment without the help and guidance of Suzanne Schein. She knows the real estate market, she loves what she does and truthfully, she just wants to find the best home for YOU. She was a great resource to work with!

Regards,

Blair Arthur

When I decided to rent my apartment to move to another city, I interviewed a number of top agents including Suzanne Schein who I have known as a fellow tenant. I was surprised with Suzanne’s initial presentation, she was the only one who had researched the market in detail.

Throughout the process Suzanne assisted me in thinking through all aspects of this rental where the co-op board must approve. While understanding my needs, Suzanne never waivered in her commitment to find the right tenant. Suzanne was very pleasant to work with, a big plus, and that also helped me through this transition. And, Suzanne negotiated the price I was seeking.

I highly recommend Suzanne Schein as an agent.

Suzanne,
A brief note to thank you for all your efforts in first, finding us a suitable co-op and walking us through the buying process and second, in finding us the perfect buyer for the co-op when it became time for us to sell.

You handled all details in a most professional manner, creating a stress-free environment.

We would wholeheartedly recommend you to anyone interested in New York City real estate.

Sincerely,
Barbara
