About Me

Maria Mainieri has been part of the bustling Manhattan real estate market since 1999. She joined Douglas Elliman's new development division in 2005 incredibly excited about the process of bringing new buildings to market in addition to converting older buildings to their original glory. Maria has since sold and closed just over $1 Billion in Real Estate since she began her career in NYC. With a highly accomplished track record overseeing many of New York's new developments, she brings with her an expert knowledge of the market and a wide-ranging network of industry contacts. Her myriad skills and connections consistently prove invaluable when selling homes in New York's top new developments. Incredibly tenacious, Maria holds herself to a results-driven outcome and will never let a buyer or broker slip through the cracks. Finally, with a great knack for putting herself in other people's shoes Maria's patience and willingness to effectively communicate with her clientele on market conditions, neighborhood nuances and pricing trends. "I believe knowledge is power, and it is my job to make people feel secure about their choices based on current and accurate information. I never answer just to answer, but I always am on top of my facts and figures."

Launching a brand new building and seeing it through to its full functioning capacity with happy, satisfied homeowners, never gets old. Responsible for the running and leading of the sales team, she creates an environment for teams to flourish in any market. Maria's specialty is fostering a deep collaborative relationship with ownership, marketing and operations, to see the building from inception to closings to hand-off of keys.
Notable projects include: 498 West End Ave-Samson Management, Circa Central Park and 321 West 110 Street-Artimus, in Manhattans Upper West Side. Other notable projects include The Charles at 1355 First Avenue-Bluerock, 57 Reade Street-The John Buck Company, 76 Madison Avenue-Harlan Burger, 22 Renwick Street-Michael Delshah and Antonio Cosetino, The River House in Battery Park City. Beyond Manhattan, 280 Saint Marks Avenue in Prospect Heights-DNA, 365 Bridge Street in Downtown Brooklyn-Clipper Equities and numerous projects in Long Island City. Passionate about green construction, she has also sold several LEED-certified properties. Whatever the property, Maria consistently achieves top prices for her sellers regardless of the area and repeatedly has broken records for the highest price per square foot: achieved at Circa and One Morningside Park.
A native New Yorker, who grew up in Westchester and Rhinebeck in the summers, her family has always had an apartment in NYC. Drawn to architecture and development, one of Maria's hobbies is guiding extensive renovations when purchasing homes, fixing them up and reselling them. Maria also volunteers with God's Love We Deliver, The Covenant House.
