About Me

Kathleen Lamb moved to New York City in 2009. After raising three children, two of whom attend The University of Chicago and New York University respectively, she joined the real estate industry with Douglas Elliman. Using her skills as a former Wall Street research analyst, she asks her clients to tell her exactly what they want in a home and how and where they want to live. She researches the area and analyzing data about inventory and days on market to help clients make good decisions and find the perfect fit.

Most importantly, she understands that buyers and sellers are busy with their own lives and can be overwhelmed. As a CPA and a CFA, she stays up to date on the latest changes in the tax laws and what it means for investors and homeowners. She joins the real estate industry after volunteering and a career in finance at Credit Suisse, and Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. In 2017, she received Executive Career training at Chicago Booth in High Net Worth Wealth Management. She is comfortable analyzing cash flows and issues that drive a deal. Additionally, her experience working on leveraged buyouts and in finance position her to be a strong negotiator for her clients. With several moves under her belt in New York City, and helping two clients sell cooperatives on the Upper East side, she is a strong asset for anyone selling or buying. In 2017 and 2018, she listed and helped sell an 8-room 5th Avenue luxury cooperative apartment in Carnegie Hill priced over $5.3 million. Understanding that cooperative sales are competing with new construction she advised a client to focus the decor on "light and bright". As a direct result of Kathleen's skills, renovation contacts and daily hard work, her clients realize a substantial increase in selling price.

Kathleen works tirelessly to make connections for her clients in both work and social settings. In her leisure hours, she enjoys exercising, running, and traveling with her family, and weekends out on Shelter Island. Kathleen makes jewelry and enjoys sewing and cooking. In December 2017, she worked on the Shakespeare Costume Committee at St. Bernard's School. As an urban mom and a long time member of the Development Committee of The New York Common Pantry, Kathleen is dedicated to improving life in neighborhoods in Manhattan, The Bronx, and Brooklyn for those in need.
