About Me

Dennis Buonagura has been in the NYC real estate business since the mid-1980s. He directed a substantial real estate administration division as a VP for a major New York City bank, and managed the sales of many of their REO properties. In 2010, he reactivated his license and worked closely with a tenured Douglas Elliman agent before branching out on his own and continuing to achieve success for himself and his clients. His seasoned experience, industry expertise, customer service focus and diverse skill set are invaluable assets when orchestrating complex real estate deals.

Dennis is a great listener and organizer, with a large referral base and natural talent for putting like-minded people together. While in banking, he managed a staff of over 100 and was highly praised and respected. Dennis additionally held roles as Quality Assurance and Staff Development Manager with The Metropolitan Opera Association, Education Coordinator for Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, and most recently, Managing Director of Art Yard Brooklyn, an organization that brings art education to the NYC and Jersey City public schools.

A native New Yorker who grew up in Brooklyn and attended NYC's public schools and CUNY, Dennis knows the ins and outs of the city as only a hometown resident can. He lives in a landmark Lincoln Square condominium for the past 25+ years, where he owns his home and is active in the building and local community affairs.

Long involved with animals, Dennis has been featured in newspapers and magazines for his work with dog charities. He served as President of Central Park Paws for five years, and was the Chairperson of their annual event, My Dog Loves Central Park Fair. Dennis is and has been a volunteer for Animal Haven Soho, Last Chance Adoptions, From The Art of New York, AIDS Walk New York, and New York Cares. He's been active in many dog-related legal issues such as off-leash regulations in NYC parks, and fair housing opportunities for people with pets and service animals. Currently, he serves as the social media administrator for Generation Paws NYC.

Dennis lives in Lincoln Square with his two senior Pugs, Hazel and Olive. His interests include NYC architecture, theatre, public art, and real NY stories.
