About Me

San Luis Obispo, the central coast of California, is where Dan Howell calls home. Residing just ten miles south of San Luis Obispo in the quiet beach town of Shell Beach, Dan is a 4th generation California native.

Fascinated by homes and architecture since he was young, Dan would observe and critique houses in the neighborhood with his mom Karla Howell, who had been a real estate agent before he was born. With the neighborhood's market ranging from 1940s beach houses to modern waterfront Spanish compounds, Dan's real estate pallet diversified. His knowledge, keen eye, and aesthetic taste landed him in the great city of Beverly Hills. With his passion for helping people and love of beautiful homes, Dan found a place on Teles Properties' Carswell Collection Team.

Dan approaches his business with the utmost prioritization of clients' needs. He endeavors to make clients beyond happy with their new homes and provide them with the best possible service, unparalleled in integrity and class. His geographic focus is on the greater Los Angeles area and his client concentration is in sports figures and individuals in the sports world.

Prior to real estate, Dan was a professional baseball player. His positions were first and third base and he played one season with the Seattle Mariners Professional Baseball team for the 2013-2014 season. Before he became a professional, Dan played at The University of Hawaii, Santa Barbara City College, as well as Oklahoma Baptist University. Dan was the leader, team captain and role model on and off the field for his teammates. Due to a career-ending elbow injury, Dan decided to hang up his cleats and trade them for a suit and tie in the real estate world.

His skills acquired from a lifetime of baseball have translated easily into the real estate industry. Leading, problem solving, and overcoming adversity have all been pivotal to Dan Howell's success in the real estate world.

Dan enjoys taking part in beach clean ups and community service with homeless soup kitchens. He also participates in charity fundraisers for non-profit organizations such as SLO Rattlers Baseball.
