Ann spent over 20 years as the Director of Protocol & Special Events for Citibank coordinating customer events in 64 countries. Midway through those years Ann was preparing for a second career in real estate by buying and managing a number of properties. The transaction that pointed her to success in real estate was her purchase of a rent-stabilized building and subsequent sale to the School of Visual Arts for an extension. This deal when combined with the innovative use of a 1031 tax-free exchange for a Greenwich Village townhouse was itself a landmark deal. Today that townhouse is home to Ann, her husband and their children. She further refined her eye for value by acquiring and renovating a townhouse in the Meat Packing District in 1990 before the neighborhood became fashionable and then selling it to a world famous artist.
