About Me

Andrew Dwyer stresses that in New York, there is something for everyone…although the perfect home may not always be what you thought it might at first, or at times, it could be exactly what you'd envisioned. That's the fun part - finding out.

Andrew's strongest advice is to "really investigate the different areas of the city you're considering. Realize where the subways and buses are, the parks, shops, and everything else that's important to your daily life, to find the best fit." Andrew is a guiding force in helping buyers and renters find their ideal match when it comes to properties and neighborhoods. Having grown up in New York and lived here his entire life, he knows the market is more unique than anywhere else on earth, as is the real estate process. He also understands the various "flavors" of neighborhoods and has witnessed their ongoing transitions over the past few decades.

Whether his clients are home seeking or selling, Andrew strives to educate them thoroughly on all aspects of the market and the various options available that would best suit their needs. Very analytical by nature, he ponders every aspect of his clientele's lifestyle and budget requirements then is diligent about doing his research to best obtain their goals. "I try not to get overwhelmed by the positives to the point that I stop looking for negatives which would warrant reconsidering a property as a potential option. Similarly, for sellers, I focus carefully on comparables around them and on well-targeted pricing and marketing that will optimize their profit."

Prior to entering real estate, Andrew sharpened his professional and communication skills as an analyst in an investment bank, and at a commercial real estate firm analyzing the commercial market and writing quarterly market reports. Following 9/11, he worked with the NYC Economic Development Corp. on grants for small businesses in downtown Manhattan. Personally, he has a keen interest in history and architecture. "This makes the New York real estate market a fascinating and enjoyable part of my business life." Andrew is also passionate about sailing and can often be found competing in regattas primarily along the East Coast from Newport, RI to Key West, Florida. He is a graduate of Columbia University with degrees in English and Economics.
