Lorber,President/CEO and Chairman, respectively, of  Douglas Elliman Real Estate announce that top-level executive and real estateexpert Scott Durkin is joining the national firm. Durkin, who is 53 years old, willassume the title of Executive Vice President and will work in the expandingElliman markets nationwide.

 “Scott has vast experience in real estate and we couldn’tbe more thrilled to welcome him,” said Herman.  “He is valued in theindustry for his management skills and business acumen and we are lucky to havehim join us.”

Since beginning his career as a salesagent with the Corcoran Group in 1991, Durkin grew hisreputation, becoming a protégé of Barbara Corcoran in the late1990’s.  He has held corporate positions at Corcoran, includingDirector of Relocation, Founding Director and Manager of the Westside Galleryoffice, Co-Managing Director of the Downtown Office, Chief Operating Officer, andSenior Vice President for Corcoran Florida prior to his current post as SeniorManaging Director of the successful Chelsea Flatiron office.

 In his tenure at Corcoran, Scotthas been directly involved in many major milestones, including the sale of thatcompany to NRT and the acquisition of brokerages in the Hamptons, Palm Beachand New York.
