JUPITER, FL (Dec. 22, 2016) – Douglas Elliman, in another key expansion of its eastern coastal markets in the Sunshine State, hosted a grand opening of its new Jupiter office on Wednesday, December 7. The official launch comes less than a month after the firm opened a Delray Beach location and the recent launch of the firm’s new Bay Harbor office.
The opening of these prominent locations brings the number of Douglas Elliman’s locations in Florida to 19 offices, and gives the firm access to some of the state’s most affluent neighborhoods featuring lavish waterfront homes, luxury lifestyles and some of the state’s best golf courses. Strategically opening locations throughout Florida and in other key regions across the country, Douglas Elliman is not only catering to prospective primary home buyers in Florida, but clients seeking second, third and fourth homes in New York City, the Hamptons, Aspen and Los Angeles.
“Jupiter, Delray Beach and Bay Harbor Islands have consistently shown rapid growth in luxury sales every quarter,” said Jay Phillip Parker, CEO of Douglas Elliman Florida. “It is a reflection of strong development in Palm Beach and Miami-Dade, both among the most affluent counties in the nation.”
Located at 400 U.S. Highway 1, Suite C1, the firm’s first Jupiter office will be led by managing broker Don Langdon, a veteran residential real estate sales professional who has been recognized as a top producer for seven consecutive years by The Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches. He began his career at the Palm Beach Polo Golf and Country Club, later expanding his reach into Wellington and Jupiter. While managing the brokerage’s Wellington/Palm Beach network, he exceeded more than $1 billion in sales through more than 1,000 transactions.
“I’m delighted to spearhead the new Jupiter branch and continue to build on the successes we’ve already achieved at our Wellington and Palm Beach offices,” he said. “The lucrative market, coupled with sunny weather, picturesque beaches, world-class golf courses and convenient airport hubs have consistently attracted both domestic and international buyers to this highly prominent region.”
The northernmost town in Palm Beach County, Jupiter is 15 miles north of West Palm Beach and boasts a population of more than 62,000 residents. A popular vacation destination, it is attractive to New York and Boston area residents who maintain luxury vacation homes there.
In addition, Jupiter is home to a satellite campus of the prestigious Scripps Research Institute, a medical research facility which is adjacent to the MacArthur campus of Florida Atlantic University. The Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience is also located on the FAU campus. The academic and research facilities are prime drivers of a local economy that generate above average household incomes and a high standard of living.
To the south, Douglas Elliman’s Florida operations in Delray Beach and Bay Harbor Islands are expected to leverage similar marketplace characteristics. Known for rapid economic growth and upscale amenities, Delray Beach has seen its population double to an estimated 64,000 people from 1980 and 2000. A more exclusive community, Bay Harbor Islands’ population almost reaches 6,000.
The Delray Beach Tennis Center attracts tennis professionals from around the world, hosting the Fed Cup, Davis Cup and Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic. In 2010, the U.S. Tennis Association nominated Delray Beach as one of the top tennis towns in the nation. Buttressed by white beaches, shopping centers, cafes and museums, Delray Beach is prime territory for upscale living, a fact that is certain to be leveraged by award-winning managing broker Ingrid Carlos, who will oversee the office at 900 East Atlantic Avenue. Carlos is widely recognized for her extensive knowledge in sales management, career training, coaching and recruitment. She currently manages the Boca Raton office for Douglas Elliman.
The office in Bay Harbor Islands is led by Judith Corcos, with more than 15 years of experience in luxury real estate. Separated from the mainland by Biscayne Bay, the area offers unparalleled views in an exclusive community situated between Aventura and Miami Beach. Just a few minutes away from Bal Harbour’s chic shopping and fine dining destinations, Bay Harbor Islands is a privileged location for those seeking Miami Beach luxury lifestyle.
